Alston Coaches is a family-owned coach and bus charter company based in Braeside, Melbourne. Since 2007 we have carried weddings, corporate groups, schools, sports teams and private tours across Victoria and Australia-wide, with our name on the side of every coach.

Our story
Nineteen years, one name on the door.
Alston Coaches started in 2007 as a family business with a single idea: that group travel in Melbourne could feel as considered as the event it was carrying people to. Nearly two decades on, the family still owns the company, still answers the phone, and still puts the Alston name on every vehicle that leaves the Braeside depot.
Today the fleet runs from a 7-seat Mercedes-Benz V-Class to a 57-seat premium touring coach, supported by coordinators who know each booking by name and drivers our passengers thank in review after review.

Every coach is based, cleaned and serviced at our depot on Boundary Road, Braeside. By the time the doors open for your group, it has already had a full morning. This is the routine behind “it felt brand new”.

Safety & accreditation
Safety is the part you never notice.
Accredited, insured, inspected and rested. The checks happen before you board so the journey itself can be uneventful.
- Accredited operator Alston Coaches operates as an accredited bus and coach operator in Victoria, with vehicles registered and inspected to the state's commercial passenger standards.
- Accredited drivers Every driver holds a Victorian bus driver accreditation, including police and medical checks, and works within regulated rest and fatigue limits.
- Maintained and inspected Scheduled servicing at our Braeside depot plus a documented pre-departure inspection of every vehicle, every day it runs.
- Seatbelts and insurance Seatbelts on every seat across the fleet, and comprehensive passenger and public liability insurance on every journey.

Our depot is at 178–184 Boundary Road, Braeside, in Melbourne's south-east. We run day charters across Melbourne and regional Victoria, and multi-day tours interstate and Australia-wide.
Five classes: a 7-seat Mercedes-Benz V-Class, a 12-seat crew van, a 24-seat mini coach, a 50-seat touring coach and our 57-seat flagship. For larger groups we run multiple coaches under one coordinator.
Yes. For day charters and tours your driver stays with the coach and follows your itinerary, including waiting time at each stop.
Every vehicle has seatbelts on every seat and climate control. The touring coaches also carry reclining leather seating, USB charging and Wi-Fi.

Yes. Your coordinator and driver are reachable on the day, and we can adjust pickup times, stops and return times as your event unfolds.
