School Bus Hire for Excursions, Camps and Sports Days
Alston Coaches provides school transport across Melbourne and regional Victoria for excursions, incursions, swimming programs, sports fixtures, camps and end-of-year events. We work with government, independent and Catholic schools, and we understand that a school booking has to run to the minute.
Every driver holds current Driver Accreditation and a Working with Children Check. Our coaches are fitted with seatbelts, maintained in-house, and matched to your group size so you are never paying for seats you do not need.
- Drivers with current Working with Children Checks and Driver Accreditation
- Seatbelt-fitted coaches from 7 to 57 seats
- Excursions, camps, sports fixtures, swimming programs and daily runs
- Wheelchair-accessible options available on request
- One contact from quote through to the day of travel
01
Built Around the School Calendar
Term dates fill quickly, particularly around swimming season, athletics carnivals and camp weeks. We hold recurring bookings for schools that run the same routes each term, so the vehicle and driver you know are the ones who turn up.
Multi-vehicle bookings for whole year levels are coordinated from one point of contact, with staggered departures where a venue cannot take every coach at once.
02
Safety Is the Whole Job
Every coach is accredited under the Bus Safety Act 2009 (Vic) and serviced in our own workshop rather than sent out. Seatbelts are fitted across the fleet, and larger coaches carry CCTV.
Drivers are briefed on the specific run before departure, including pickup points, supervising staff and any student requiring accessibility support.
03
The Right Coach for the Group
A class of 24 does not need a 57-seat coach. We match the vehicle to the headcount so schools are not paying for empty seats, and we advise on luggage capacity for camps where every student brings a bag.
For longer trips, coaches with onboard toilets, climate control and reclining seats are available.
